Career

After initial experiences in law firms in France and Luxembourg, Erwin was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2007. He has accumulated more than 18 years of professional experience in technology law, as well as in matters associating technology law, fintech, intellectual property, gaming, software, music and media.

Erwin advises and represents several collective management societies in licensing agreements and royalty collection.

During the last years Erwin has focused on Fintech and DLTs where he has also authored a book on crypto currencies edited by Legitech in 2018.

Erwin is a Data Protection Officer with the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD). He is a board member of the scientific committee of the PIN CODE Journal (International Journal of Intellectual Property and Digital Law).
Before joining Bonn & Schmitt, Erwin had its own law firm and worked in reputable Luxembourg law firms. He regularly publishes articles on technology and Intellectual Property law.
